Picking Colors!

When Picking Colors...CONSIDER THIS:

LOCATION...of the wedding or reception.  If you are having an outdoor wedding in the fall it might not be a good idea to pick bright pink.  With the leaves changing and the hues of orange, brown, and red the color pink probably wouldn't be your best choice.  If you are having an indoor wedding and the venue has all white walls and you are in a white gown, by having your bridesmaids in a lighter dress it might start to all looked washed out.  It would be a good idea to pick bolder colors that will accent the white well.

SEASON...Colors blend so much better when they are in season.  Just as in fashion and design, weddings can be "IN" or not.  Try to pick colors that are in season or in style to create a wow factor at your wedding.  By doing this it makes choosing centerpieces and decor a lot easier as well becuase it will all be "IN" as well.

THEME...The theme of your wedding, whether it is fun, elegant, vintage, bright or playful is important to consider when selecting the colors for your wedding.  It is hard to have a playful wedding with browns and neutral colors and elegance is hard to come by with fuschia or orange.  Beware of what colors go with your theme in order to pull of the effect you want.

As a bride, choosing your colors is one of the funnest and easiest parts of planning your wedding. Remember to keep it simple and love your choice once your made it!
